About the CPT exam
The Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) tests what a phlebotomist does on every shift: safety and infection control, patient identification and preparation, venipuncture and capillary collection, special collections, and specimen processing.
NHA's current test plan is based on a 2024 job analysis. Routine blood collections and safety and compliance together make up more than half of the scored questions, so these practice exams follow its five domains and weights.
