About the ExCPT exam

The ExCPT is the National Healthcareer Association's exam for the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential. It covers the technician's role and duties, pharmacy law and controlled substances, drugs and drug therapy, the full dispensing process, and medication safety.

The Dispensing Process domain alone is 43 of the 100 scored questions — prescription intake, insurance claims, filling and labeling, calculations, and sterile and non-sterile compounding. These practice exams follow NHA's 2023 test plan and its five domains.
